Decide whether you mean a monthly total or a daily average

Months have different numbers of days. A monthly total and an average per calendar day answer different questions.

This guide uses total births for its leading-month answer. If you calculate a daily average, label that calculation separately and divide by the number of calendar days in the same year. Do not silently substitute it for the published monthly count or compare it with an older period as though it were the same measure.

This distinction is useful when checking another chart or article: look for the year, the geography and the measure before deciding that two results disagree.

Keep the year attached to the answer

The ranking describes 2025. It does not establish a permanent favourite month or predict an individual baby's arrival.

The monthly source was released on September 23, 2026. Read its current footnotes before reusing the table. A historical source may be useful for a different question, but keep its period visible rather than merging it into this one-year answer.

Keep preparation questions separate from population statistics

If you are preparing for a due month, clothing choices depend on your own plans and the information for the items you choose. A national birth ranking supplies neither a wardrobe quantity nor an outfit prescription.

Our existing guides for a baby due in July, August and September address seasonal preparation separately.

Questions about monthly birth counts

Is July always the leading month?

This table supports a 2025 answer only. Compare other years from the same source if you need a longer-period pattern.

Why do the percentages total 100.1%?

The published values are rounded independently. The count total remains the reference for the annual sum; the displayed percentages have not been adjusted to force 100.0%.

Are the 2025 monthly figures final?

No. The table's metadata identifies 2025 as preliminary even where the individual CSV status cells are blank.
